Ran my first marathon in 1997 and have been running off and on ever since. In 2010, after a bitter breakup with my lady and post Iraq PTSD, I began running again in the fall of 2010. Ran 30-40 half marathons and a handful of marathons to strengthen my joints and ligaments from 2010-2011. After running 2011 injury free (for the most part), I began my goal to run 52 marathons in 52 weeks in 2012. But somehow these races called ULTRAMARATHONS and ENDURANCE RUNS have gotten in the way and I find myself running more and more ultra distances now than ever before! Love the challenge and the highs & lows of running these new distances.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
  • Was told by my physical therapist that I was too fat to run the Quad Dipsea in 2010. She was right. I was fat, but I was still able to complete the Quad in 6:28:50. Injured my knee...
  • After a 15 month break from running anything longer than a marathon, I ran my first 50k in March 2012 - Way Too Cool 50k in 5:27:00. No knee injury either! The ultra distances might just be what I am
  • Was talked into running 100 loops at Nanny Goat in May 2012 and finished my first 100 mile race in 25:17:51.
